ジャズ評論家Bob Blumenthal（ボブ・ブルーメンソール）の英文ライナーノーツによると、1956年8月4日のライブ演奏は、午後2回と夜3回のセットが組まれ、Vol.1とVol.2に分散されてリリース。Vol.1は夜のセットから抜粋して収録している。ラジオパーソナリティMitch Thomas（ミッチ・トーマス）による"Welcome to the jazz corner of the Delaware Valley"という挨拶に続くSweet Georgia Brownは、最終曲だったようだ。
このアルバムを購入した明確な理由が一つある。ディランの作品All Along the Watchtower（見張り塔からずっと）をジミがアレンジし、ディランはそれが気に入って、さらに厚みを加えて歌うようになった。そんなジミのアレンジが聴きたくて購入。一曲買いである。そうしたら、10数分のDVDがオマケで付いてきた。
