そろそろ、自分なりの結論を出したと思い考え抜いた。プロデューサーはノーマン・グランツ。彼に関するWikipediaの中に、こんな一文があった。Norman Granz opposed racism and fought many battles for his artists, many of whom were black.(グランツは人種差別に反対し、アーティストのために数多く戦ってきた。そのほとんどは黒人だった)。このアルバムは、グランツにとって愛すべきミュージシャンのセッションだったのだろう。全ての演奏を彼らに任せたような気がする。なので、自分流の邦題は「彼らにこそ喝采を」。長年のモヤモヤがすっきりと晴れた感じ。
